Our house is close to the beautiful Ammersee. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings around the third largest lake in Bavaria.
16 km long, 6 km wide and 81 m deep, the lake invites you to relax and unwind.
At Ammersee, where our House of Bavarian Agriculture is located, you can take a deep breath after an exciting day of seminars. Known to some as the ‘farmer’s lake’, it fits in perfectly with our agricultural background.
On a clear day you can take in the stunning Alpine panorama – whether you enjoy water sports, boating, walking or cycling.
Watching the sun set on the shores of the Ammersee in Herrsching is the perfect way to get away from it all. A trip on the lake opens up new perspectives. Incidentally, the largest ship on the Ammersee bears the name of our town ‘Herrsching’ and is propelled by paddle wheels. It is well worth a trip.
Directly from Herrsching you can stroll along Germany’s longest lakeside promenade – around 10 kilometres.
